Basics 101 + Build a Cabinet
In this fully comprehensive, start to finish course you will learn how to use an architect’s scale to plan your piece. From there you will prepare, saw and assemble a cabinet with door, using concealed hinges. The interior of the cabinet will have 2 adjustable shelves. Students will learn how to make a crown moulding from scratch by using a table router. This is a soup to nuts beginners course. You will be taught how to use tools with patience, skill and weather permitting, humor.
The tablesaw will be your new best friend. You will be practicing using the saw throughout the entire course erasing each level of fear as you go. In order to complete your piece, you will gain confidence in using a sliding miter saw, chopsaw, drill press, pneumatic nailer, random orbital sander and planer.  This is a great piece to use for spices, tea, or just an everyday catch all cabinet.
